How
Does Neuromuscular Therapy Differ From Massage Therapy? |
|
|
Neuromuscular Therapy is to correct muscle imbalance rather than to relax or
reduce stress, although many clients do experience relaxation and stress
reduction. A Neuromuscular Therapy treatment is much more specific than a
general Massage Therapy session. Because distortions in posture are considered,
the sides of the body are not treated alike. Special treatment protocols are
used for conditions such as carpal tunnel, TMJ syndrome, back pain, headaches
and migraines. |
