Ear Candling

What Is Ear Candling?

Ear Candling is a natural way to eliminate the wax and fungus that has been accumulating in your ears for months, years or perhaps all of your life. The candles are made especially for this purpose from natural fibers and are tapered to precise specifications.

How Did Candling Originate?

Candling was first used in ancient cultures researched to 2500 B.C. - ancient Egyptian times.  Parchment scrolls were discovered in the Orient that when translated described the procedure of candling.  This ancient art may have been developed with the domestication of the honeybee, as beeswax was used in making the hollow cylinders used in the procedure.  The principal cloth of the Egyptians was linen made from flax.  Candles today are handmade from beeswax and unbleached cotton cloths.

How Does Candling Work?

The candles are nine inches long and burn for approximately ten minutes.  The candles work scientifically through convection.  Waxes and toxins are drawn, oxidized and vaporized during the procedure.  The small end of the candle is gently placed into the ear canal.  The large end is lit and pulls up wax and fungus from deep inside the ear.  Even though much is burned, the majority of the wax and fungus is collected in the bottom of the candle, which you will readily see.  Most people cannot believe what is collected there!  Expect to be amazed!

Is Candling Painful?

Absolutely not!  It is a painless, harmless and totally relaxing experience.

How Often Must I Have The Treatment?

Most people need three sessions to complete the cleansing process.  Some, however, may need up to eight sessions over a six-month period.  After the initial treatments, a maintenance session every two to six months is recommended.

What Will Candling Do For Me?

Candling will treat the following conditions:

  HEADACHES RINGING/TINNITIS VERTIGO
EAR INFECTIONS HEAD PRESSURE PLUGGED EARS
CHRONIC SINUSITIS TMJ DYSFUNCTION HEARING LOSS
  IMBALANCE EXCESSIVE WAX EARACHES/PAIN

For Your Information:

Candling can benefit almost everyone from infants to adults.  People who have ear tubes, perforated eardrums, or artificial eardrums should not be candled.

Musicians, especially singers and horn players, are prone to wax build-up.  Also, people who wear hearing aids or who have had ear injuries tend to build up more wax and fungus.

The facilitator does not offer medical advice, nor prescribe the use of any technique for the treatment of medical conditions.
